>We will resume our regularly schedule programming shortly

>One of my favorite people in the world is coming through town tomorrow for about 24 hours, so I won’t be posting for a few days. And since I haven’t been posting for quite a few days already, it’ll just be more of the same.

In the meantime, I’ll try to think of something substantive and academic to write about. So here’s a question: if a blog post that annoyed the heck out of me is weeks old by the time I get around to posting about it, is it too ‘old news’ for me to post about it? Discuss. (And no, it wasn’t by any of you.)

  1. >Not at all! I’m forgetting the jargonny word for the kind of communication one has on message boards – non-chronological? Extra-temporal? Blogging is the same way – if other people have already commented remind us of it!

  2. >No. I like what Cranky says: extratemporal, atemporal….nothing is too old or new if its out there forever.Whether we your readers are interested is another matter, but are blogs only for readers, or are they more for the writers, or rather the space between them: the place that is extra-textual Atemporal, unbounded.

  3. >Well, now you absolutely must. We will all be terribly curious and we will need satisfaction. Teasing us with the possibility of such a post is cruel. 😉
